A 12 day old baby left alone.. lost her mother.. left by father.. just because the baby is a girl!!!! Shame... isn't it??
It's more than 60 years we got our independence... still there is merely any change in society's view about having a girl as a child..
People started crying when 33% reservation bill for ladies was passed. I thought there is one more chance for the men to point out the ladies and I felt some where in the heart that we should not entertain such reservations.
But then today I had to change my mind.. it's needed at least for some more time..
the new generation is making up minds.. at least few are thinking positively about girls..
Still there are many (as evidently from today's news story) who still have to makeup their minds.. who do not even remember the women who have created history.. there is the mother of all - mother theresa, a women - the president of our country, another who entered space and created history and many such women exist in the entire corner of the world.. but then such people are not accepting the fact.. its not going to happen in a day or two.. till then the girls should be taken utmost care..
its not about making bills and ensuring ladies get seats in every field..
A POWER is needed that lets men like the father in this story feel afraid to do such things..
We don't want any superior rights but just wish the men treat women EQUALLY yeah.. just EQUALLY....
A woman is no different than a man except carrying a negative tag from ages as a burden to the family that was created by a society that treated women as just a sort of servant..
Its no more the case.. women started showing their calibre in all forms.. they can work in office, take care of the family & children, help in planning and settling household problems, be a supporter and best consoler when everyone else left you and what not they are there for everything.. be like a mother, a sister, a spouse, a friend...
So guys.. change your mind towards WOMEN..
We don't want your hands to make us stand tall
We don't want your acts to let us fall
We don't want your hatred
We don't want to feel bad about you
We don't want to hate you
We don't want your money
We just need a ray to see the sunshine
We just hope for care, love, affection and equality that costs nothing for you... we are such a small contended beings of all !!!
P.S. This is merely my personal opinion.. If anything hurts, please ignore...
Well said santhi..evidently there are many men who still think women as burden. but to avoid it not only men should change women should also change. I still see many mothers saying "u r a gal u should learn household works" and "u r a boy u shud not involve in household works u shud go out for shopping or market" this attitude of mothers should also change. For any society to become linient towards a gender there is equal amount of mistake from males and females. but the change is coming...very soon we will have a society where women and men are treated equally.
